Temple Carrig School Joins the Elephant in the Room Movement to Champion Mental Health Awareness

At Elephant in the Room, we're excited to announce that Temple Carrig School in Greystones has joined our growing movement to raise awareness and promote open conversations about mental health. This partnership marks a significant step in helping young people address the "elephants in the room" – those often hidden or difficult topics that can be challenging to talk about.

Earlier this month, the students at Temple Carrig gathered for an inspiring assembly focused on mental health awareness. The assembly provided a platform for open dialogue, encouraging students to acknowledge and discuss the issues that may weigh heavily on their minds and hearts. By normalizing these conversations at a young age, we can foster a more supportive and understanding community, not just within the school but beyond its walls.

As part of the movement, Temple Carrig students will have the opportunity to design their very own Elephant in the Room sculpture. Each design will reflect their thoughts, emotions, and experiences around mental health. We believe this artistic expression will be a powerful way for students to convey messages of hope, resilience, and awareness.

We eagerly anticipate the unveiling of their elephant design and look forward to the creative ways they will communicate the importance of mental health. At Elephant in the Room, we are committed to supporting schools, communities, and workplaces in tackling mental health stigma one conversation at a time.

Thank you, Temple Carrig School, for joining us in this important journey. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels empowered to speak openly about their mental health.

Stay tuned to see how Temple Carrig's journey unfolds and to witness the impact of their artwork!
